Appointments

Appointments can be booked in the following ways:

• In person at the desk
• By telephone on 0114 2307818
• Via the internet (you will need to register at the surgery first before accessing this option)
•  Click here to book appointments with your GP 

Appointments are available for booking:

• On the day
• 48 hours in advance*
• 1,2 or 3 weeks in advance*
• Up to 4 weeks in advance 

(*There are limited numbers of these appointments available in each surgery, so once the allocation has been taken up, you may need to be prepared to accept an appointment on a different day or time, or with a different GP if you need a specific day/time)

Appointment times are as follows:

Morning

• one Surgery starts at 8.00 am each day, primarily to give access for working patients before going to work. 
• the remaining surgeries start at 8.30 pm 
• the doctors usually see 15 booked appointments (at 10 minutes per booking)
• a triage Doctor is available for non-urgent telephone consultations

Afternoon

• Surgeries usually start between 2.00 pm - 2.30 pm
• there are usually 15 10 minute appointments available

Evening

• Surgeries usually start between 3.30 pm - 4.00 pm
• The last appointment is available at 6.00 pm
• Appointments between 5.30 pm - 6.00 pm are primarily for the working population.

General information

• Please book a double appointment in advance if you think your problem will need longer than 10 minutes (late overrunning appointments lead to patient dissatisfaction!)
• If you are unable to keep your pre-booked appointment, please make every effort to let us know well in advance, so we can allocate your appointment to another patient.
• Please be patient if the Doctor is running late - consultations can often overrun their allotted time due to the nature of the consultation.
