Prescription turnaround times

Please note that it usually takes 48 hours from your request, for a prescription to be ready at the surgery. This can then be collected, by yourself, the pharmacy, or sent electronically if you have nominated a chemist.

We are aware that some pharmacies have recently changed their processes, and it can take several days for them to prepare medication upon receipt of your prescription.

We have no influence over the amount of time it takes the pharmacy to prepare your prescription. We therefore advise you to check the turnaround times with your preferred pharmacy and plan accordingly.
