Advice for patients aged 16 or over attending A&E - For Information

Patients aged 16 and over (except CAMHS patients) can be seen in the Emergency Department at Sheffield Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in the following circumstances:

1.    They are under active follow up at SCH NHS FT Outpatient Department with ongoing follow up planned ie not discharged.

2.    They are in transition to adult services but have not yet had their first appointment at adult services.

3.    Patients under the CAMHS service are required to attend the adult emergency department from 16 years and above.
